Causes of abnormal sound of transformer core

- May 20, 2020-

During normal operation of the transformer, the alternating magnetic flux generates electromagnetic force through the iron core, and the iron core emits a uniform "buzzing" sound.

When the transformer emits a crackling sound, the insulation of the winding or the iron core may be broken, or the discharge of the live conductor such as the lead wire and the fuel tank or the iron core is too small;

Short-circuiting between the turns of the transformer will not only make a sound of discharge, but also the local severe heating of the fault point will cause the oil to boil and vaporize, and will make the sound of "gurgling" boiling water.
